Nedrelow Sleeve for iPad and iPhone Review

Never to be content to find an iPad case I can live with, I recently realized that I like using the iPad "naked" as opposed to using a bulky (and sometimes ugly) case. I like using the Smart Cover and other than that, I like to keep it as minimalistic as possible. I don't, however, want to risk scratches or other minor damage when my iPad (4th generation) is inside a bag or briefcase.

Enter the Sleeve by Nedrelow. Sleeve is a 100% wool felt sleeve that keeps my iPad with Smart Cover snug and secure during transport. I chose the light gray color (there are other choices) and am very happy with the quality, looks and usefulness of the Sleeve. It's thin, very well made and timeless looking. The material feels great, looks professional (I use my iPad to take notes at work) and the double-stitched edges are straight and free of any fraying after several weeks of use. The top-loading Sleeve also serves as a nice mat for my iPad to rest on while in use, or just while charging on my desk.

The iPhone version (I use the 4S) is equally well made, but not quite as useful. The color matches perfectly and looks identical in every way, save for size, but since you need to remove your iPhone quickly if you receive a call, it's just a bit clumsy to use - at least for me. If you're a fan of sleeves, like the material and don't mind the extra width and height in your bag or pocket, it's a good choice.

The Nedrelow Sleeve for iPad offers nice protection and a fantastic look at a fair price. It would be nice to be able to cinch the Sleeve shut, but since my iPad is usually in my bag, it's really a minor gripe. For fans of the naked iPad, or for when only using the Smart Cover, the Sleeve (also available for Macbook Air, Kindles and other gadgets) is a slick-looking way to go. Thumbs up for me.
